Surjadi meets Maluku people

JAKARTA (JP): Governor Surjadi Soedirdja asked all Maluku
people living in Jakarta to help make the coming general election
a success.

Represented by his deputy on public welfare, Moeseno, Surjadi
said over the weekend that the general election would start with
the registration of eligible voters in May.

"Use your right to vote and help the officials in charge of
the arrangement of the election build a healthy political climate
especially before and during the election," he said.

Moeseno read Surjadi's written statements at the selection of
Mungare (Mr.) and Jujaro (Mrs.) Maluku at the President Hotel,
Central Jakarta on Friday, Antara reported Saturday. (sur)
