Sulistyo beats Bonit for third best

JAKARTA (JP): Indonesian Davis Cup player Sulistyo Wibowo beat
Bonit Wiryawan at the 1996 BNI Indonesia Masters at the Jakarta
Hilton International Hotel yesterday.

Sulistyo, who teamed up with Bonit in the Davis Cup tie
against Chinese Taipei in September, won 6-2, 6-4, to finish
third.

Another old hand, Tjahjono, lost to rookie Djanuar Radjab 5-
7, 1-6, while the lefthanded Timorese Sebastian da Costa beat
junior Edo Bawono 6-3, 6-1.

Indonesia's top player Andrian Raturandang faces former number
one Suwandi in the final today.

In women's singles, Mimma Chernovita beat teammate Wukirasih
5-7, 6-1, 6-4 for third place.

Debutant Vinca Rampen lost to Eny Sulistyowati 4-6, 6-3, 6-
4,while Nuraeni Batubara beat sister Lianasari 6-2, 6-1.

Agustine Limanto and Marieke Gunawan will play the final
today.

National Games gold medalists pair Suwandi and Andrian worked
hard to beat Edo/Sebastian 6-7 (7-9), 6-3, 6-3.

Suhendar Dinata/Samsudin Pare lost to Tjahjono/V Ariawan 6-2,
3-6, 4-6, while Djanuar/Feby Widhiyanto beat Haryadi/Mulyadi 4-6,
7-6 (7-5), 6-4.

Bonit/Sulistyo are to face juniors Dony Susetyo, a former
Davis Cup player, and partner Surya Wijaya.

Wukirasih/Mimma had to stretch to beat Agustine/Marieke 6-1,
7-5, while Agustina/Vivi Rogi beat Asri Nursanti/Vinca 6-3, 6-4.

Lianasari/Mudarwati had a walkover win against Audra/Zenaeda
Sumedi. The organizers said did not know why they were absence.

Today's finals start at 9.00 a.m. Indonesian Tennis
Association chairman Sarwono Kusumaatmadja will attend the
