Sukadana to display works

JAKARTA: Balinese painter I Made Sukadana will exhibit around 50 of his pieces at the National Museum on Jl. Medan Merdeka Barat, Central Jakarta, from Tuesday to Thursday.

A book about him entitled Made Sukadana, Coping with Shock and Turmoil, written by arts critic Suwarno Wisetrotomo, will also be launched during the exhibition. The 3,000-page book contains Sukadana's 200 paintings and will be sold for Rp 500,000 (US$50).

The exhibition is scheduled to be officially opened by State Minister of Culture and Tourism, I Gede Ardika.

Last year, Sukadana, an abstract expressionist, also staged the Titi Ugal-agil solo exhibition at the same venue. -- Antara
