Sujudi inaugurates COT facility
Yogyakarta: Minister of Health Achmad Sujudi inaugurated last Saturday Dr. Sardjito Hospital's new integrated Central Operating Theater (COT), the third in the country after Dr. Soetomo Hospital in Surabaya and Dr. Hasan Sadikin Hospital in Bandung.
Also attending the inauguration ceremony was Austrian Ambassador to Indonesia Bernhard Zimburg, Director of Dr. Sardjito Hospital Sri Endarini, and local government officials and public figures.
The five-story COT building -- with room space totaling over 10,000 square meters -- occupies an area of some 3,250 square meters at the southern end of the hospital complex near the radiotherapy building.
That excludes some 830 square meters of basement floor and a ground reservoir of some 311 square meters having a capacity of 600 cubic meters of water.
According to director of state-owned Dr. Sardjito Hospital Sri Endarini, the Rp 37.24 billion COT building was financed from the state budget.
The building's equipment and accessories including the medical gas and electrical systems, ventilation and air conditioning systems as well as the water heater, water treatment, lift, telephone, and fire alarm and other systems worth some Rp 348 billion were financed with a soft loan from the Austrian government. --JP
