Sugar plant in Sulawesi
JAKARTA (JP): PT Sumber Madu Bukari will build a Rp 200 billion (US$82.6 million) sugar plant in Southeast Sulawesi later this month.
The head of the provincial administration's plantation agency, Soewondo, was quoted yesterday by Antara as saying the company had secured 20,000 hectares of agricultural land to supply the plant with sugar cane.
The plant will have an initial production capacity of 6,000 tons of sugar a year. (rid)
