Sudomo's newest startling revelation

JAKARTA: Sudomo, the 70-year-old Supreme Advisory Council
chief and regular casanova of beautiful actresses and singers,
proved yesterday that he hadn't changed.

As a good Golkar cadre, he said, he supported President
Soeharto's renomination for a seventh term because Soeharto still
had a good memory.

Sudomo said Soeharto had an extraordinary ability to remember
statistics.

"He is not like me who can only recall names of beautiful
actresses and singers," he told journalists after meeting
President Soeharto at the Bina Graha presidential office.

Sudomo, an eligible bachelor after two collapsed marriages,
has rarely kept secret his romantic relationships with
celebrities.

As Soeharto's confidante, he quipped, he had a lot in common
with the President.

"He is President of the republic, and I am president of the
Jakarta Golf Club." he said. (06)
