JAKARTA (JP): Former vice president Sudharmono (left) launched
an autobiography and a compilation of biographies on him at his
home last night.

The books are Sudharmono SH, Pengalaman dalam Masa Pengabdian
(Sudharmono SH, Experiences of Service) and Kesan dan Kenangan
dari Teman, 70 Tahun Sudharmono (Friends' Views, H. Sudharmono SH
Turns 70).

Sudharmono, vice president from 1988 to 1992, was a chairman
of the ruling political organization Golkar and a minister/state
secretary.

In his 583-page Sudharmono SH, Experiences of Service,
Sudharmono writes about his life, career and vision for
Indonesia.

The other book, 710 pages, contains articles on Sudharmono
written by cabinet ministers serving between 1983 and 1988, his
friends and grandchildren.

The contributors include Vice President Try Sutrisno, former
foreign minister Mochtar Kusumaatmadja and former Armed Forces
chief Gen. (ret) LB Moerdani. (12)
