'Study in Canada' in Shangri-La

JAKARTA (JP): The Study in Canada fair presenting more than 16 Canadian universities and educational institutions will open at the Shangri-La Hotel in Jakarta on Saturday and Sunday.

The fair, organized by the Canadian Education Center, will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

"There will be representatives from many universities, colleges and even high schools who are prepared to talk to students and parents on a face to face basis," CEC Senior Manager Treshia Gunadi said.

More than 1,000 Indonesian students study across Canada, which has 90 universities and over 200 colleges.

One lucky winner at the fair will receive a round-trip ticket to Canada provided by Cathay Pacific, one of the sponsors of the fair.

Once the weekend fair is over in Jakarta, it will move to the Shangri-La Hotel in Surabaya for an all-day event on Tuesday.

The CEC is dedicated to strengthening the relations between Canada and Indonesia through education. It is located on the 11th floor of the World Trade Center and is open to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays to Fridays.
