Students rally over recent Poso attacks

PALU: About 500 university students in the Central Sulawesi capital of Palu staged a demonstration on Wednesday, demanding that the perpetrators of the most recent terror attacks in the city and neighboring town of Poso be brought to justice.

The students criticized local security forces for moving too slowly in investigating the terror cases, describing the situation in the two towns as tense.

The demonstration was held as Coordinating Minister for Legal, Political and Security Affairs Widodo Adi Sucipto inaugurated in Poso a special government task force, which consists of police officers and officials from related ministries, assigned to help investigate the attacks in Poso and Palu, and instill a sense of stability in the two areas.
