Students put on a play for harmony

Harmony will reign in Jakarta next Saturday when students from Texmaco DPS International School perform a play on the theme at Pusat Perfilman Usmar Ismail in Kuningan, South Jakarta.

The play explores the search for harmony of people and their natural surroundings, as well as interfaith harmony, said the school's principal Manoj Dubey.

"This is not for commercial purposes but to send a message to people about the need for harmony and peace in the world," Dubey said.

The play's theme is particularly relevant to both Indonesia and India, the place of origin of Dubey and most of the students at the school, with endangered wildlife and recent history of interreligious strife.

The event is open to the public at no charge, but seating is limited. For more information on obtaining seats, contact Ibu Krishnawati at tel. 0267-432105 or 0267-436-746.
