Students protest rectorial election

BOGOR: Students of private Ibnu Khaldun University, Bogor, rallied on Monday against an ongoing rectorial election for not being transparent.

"The university's foundation holds absolute power to put forth candidates ... two of the six candidates are the chairman and a member of the university's board, while all 23 board members make up the election's organizing committee," said Adam Malik, head of the university's student executive body. -- JP
