Students must pass drug test: Rector

KENDARI, Southeast Sulawesi: Haluoleo University unveiled a new policy on Tuesday that will require new students to take a drug test before being formally admitted to the university.

Under the new policy, new students who fail the drug test will not be allowed to take their place at the university, even though they have already passed the entrance exam.

Machmud Hamundu, the rector of the university, said the policy was aimed at ensuring new students were drug free. -- JP
