Students donate blood for Ambon victims

KENDARI, Southeast Sulawesi: About 100 students from the Maluku islands donated their blood on Monday to increase supplies in their home province, following recent conflict in the area in which 36 people were killed and hundreds of others were injured.

The donation was held at the Southeast Sulawesi provincial government office. The blood will be shipped to Maluku to raise stocks in Maluku hospitals, student coordinator Firmansyah said. -- JP
