Student found dead in North Jakarta

JAKARTA (JP): A student was found bleeding to death behind a
noodle restaurant in North Jakarta early yesterday morning,
police said.

City Police Spokesman Lt. Col. E. Aritonang said it was
believed that 17-year-old Rudy Andiarto was stabbed.

"Rudy was found bleeding with a deep chest wound at about 2:00
a.m. yesterday behind Dewa Kembar noodle restaurant on Jl. Raya
Cilincing, North Jakarta," Aritonang said.

Rudy was brought to a hospital for medical treatment, but did
not make it and died at 3:30 p.m., Aritonang said.

Aritonang said that Rudy's father, R. Prayitno, a 56-year-old
Navy veteran, reported the stabbing of his son and had asked the
police to find the killer. (cst)
