Student drowns in the Gulf of Palu

PALU, Central Sulawesi: A student at a vocational high school
drowned on Sunday in the Gulf of Palu, the third such victim in
the past three months.

The student, Ardiansyah, 17, was taking part in a post-
graduation school trip.

He apparently became separated from the other students and his
body was found several hours later on a coral reef, some eight
meters from the edge of the gulf. -- JP
