Struggle between wolves

Election campaign fever between the two major Israeli parties, Likud and Labor, has risen dangerously recently and the incidence of violence has also increased between the different forces competing for power.

The true description of Israel, while it is in the middle of an election, is a 'struggle between wolves' because the ruling party is trying to remain in power and the opposition coalition will do anything to seize power.

It might have been possible for us to disregard the election struggle, regarding it as an internal matter, but not when the concepts and issues of security, peace, Arab rights and their territories are at stake.

The Israeli parties, forces and political organizations focus, in their electoral programs, on the collapse of the Middle East peace process...(and) show Israeli hatred toward peace and a fanaticism and extremism that threaten the situation in the region.

The Israeli leaders, while seeking to lure voters to support their electoral programs and political proposals, are fully aware that aggression, racism and the violation of rights are not the solutions to their own security.

Violence will only bring more violence. All incidents and developments have shown that Israel -- through its aggression, hegemony and terrorism against the Arabs -- only reaped defeat and failure.

It is now time to put an end to the ordeal and miseries suffered by the region because of Israeli terrorism, occupation and hegemony.
