Street singer stabbed to death

BOGOR (JP): A street singer died from severe stab wounds in the parking lot of the Bogor Institute of Agriculture here on Tuesday.

One of the institute's employees, Suherman, said he saw the street singer, who later was identified as Zulfikar, 34, a resident of Cakung Barat subdistrict in East Jakarta, run into the parking lot while screaming for help.

He eventually fell after he crashed into a parked Toyota Kijang van, his body covered with blood, according to Suherman.

"I tried to give assistance, but when I asked him what had happened to him, he did not respond," Suherman said.

Suherman added that he immediately called for a help for the wounded street singer.

Zulfikar, who suffered from stab wounds to his chest, head and arm, later died due to severe loss of blood. (21)
