Stolen paintings

I thank The Jakarta Post and Kompas for printing stories about
the paintings stolen from the National Museum in Jakarta
recently. I have observed that these two dailies have great
appreciation for Indonesian art. They often publish articles on
art, either paintings or other works of art.

Those who were involved in the theft of the paintings,
including officials of the museum, must be firmly dealt with. Now
that the paintings have been returned, we need to make sure that
the guilty officials are held responsible for the theft and
persecuted.
