Statistics of inaction

During each House session, which lasts for about 2.5 months, about 20 bills are set on the agenda for deliberation, most of which are left over from the previous sessions. The following shows the number of bills approved by the House during each session, and passed into law by the government.

During former president B.J. Habibie's 16-month presidential term which begun in May 1998, at least 50 bills were passed into law.
