State companies owe Rp 141m

BANDUNG: The land tax arrears from the West Java division of
the state-owned telecommunications company PT Telkom and
electricity company PLN have reached Rp 427 million, West Java
Governor R. Nuriana said on Monday.

Nuriana told a hearing with the provincial council that of Rp
427 million, some Rp 286 million had already been paid by the two
firms.

"We will keep demanding payment of the tax and if, at the end
of this year, they still can't pay the bill, we will revoke their
license to install cables," Nuriana said. (25)
