I am excited to know that Lippo Bank in cooperation with
Garuda Indonesia, Amcol, Pizza Hut, Matahari, Hero, and Gramedia
(well known shops) will issue a multi function card called "Star
Card."

Previously, Lippo Bank has already had Lippo ATM for its
customers. Being one, I have the card.

Since there are Alto, Maestro, and Cirrus logos on it, it is
obvious that this card can be used for withdrawing money from
Automatic Teller Machines internationally. However, not being
sure, I checked with Lippo Customer Service at the hotline 0-800-
21-800 and had a confirmation that the card can be used in
Overseas-Chinese Banking Corporation Limited (OCBC) and Citibank
in Singapore or at any banks with the Cirrus logo.

That is what they told me. In fact, when I was in Singapore, I
tried to withdraw money from OCBC's ATM with a Cirrus logo, but
my card could not be accessed. Several times I tried with
different ATM machines, but always with the same response.

It is hoped the new Star Card will not have the same problem.
It has to be accessible to Alto, Cirrus, and Maestro. I look
forward to having my Lippo ATM changed to Star Card.
