S'pore to send aid to Maluku
AMBON, Maluku: The Singaporean Red Cross will send about 8,000 packages of basic commodities to Maluku this December, the deputy chief of the Red Cross in Jakarta, Nico Pieter, said on Tuesday.
The Singaporean Red Cross is deeply touched by the plight of the province's poor as a result of the economic crisis, he said.
The food packages will be distributed to all needy people on Ambon and Ternate islands. (rms)
