Source of quotation

Thank you for printing my article "Nation needs talented teachers" on Dec. 3, 1998. But I need to add some information due to my sloppiness.

The paragraph "... service to others determines the rank... of an occupation. However, we have never actually placed teaching anywhere near the top of the occupational pyramid" is actually a quotation I took from Prof. Dan C. Lortie (1979), and I did not mention the source in the article. As a matter of correctness, his name should have been added into the article. I would like to apologize to all readers for the omission.
