Some 12 foreigners nabbed

JAKARTA: The Immigration authorities nabbed 12 foreign nationals last Friday for misusing their visas.

"We caught eight Chinese nationals and four Uzbekistan nationals for engaging in activities not in accordance with their visa description," spokesman of the Immigration Directorate General, Ade Endang Dahlan told reporters on Monday.

Ade said the 12 foreigners were working as guides at karaoke parlors although they only had tourist and business visas.

The Chinese are Liu Jiao Jiao, Chen Xiao, He Yiwen, Chou Fang, Zhang Quxian, Lia Aifang and Xiao Xiabo. Immigration officers have yet to identify the eighth Chinese, said Ade.

Meanwhile, the Uzbeks are Marina Aleslina, Shulma Irina, Maria Aruslanova and Olesya Vetkina. -- JP
