SNYL opens Manado office

JAKARTA (JP): Sewu New York Life (SNYL), a joint venture life
insurance company, officially opened yesterday its branch office
in Manado, North Sulawesi.

The insurance company said the Manado office would be its 37th
branch in Indonesia and the second in Sulawesi.

The branch opening reflects its commitment to continued
expansion in Indonesia, the insurance company said in a
statement.

During the first four months of this year, the insurance
company, a joint venture between New York Life International and
Gunung Sewu Kencana, opened five new offices, consisting of two
new branches in Bandung and one each in Kudus, Medan and Manado.

"Sewu New York Life will continue to look for opportunities to
expand our business through new branch openings and possible
acquisitions," company president C. Donald Carden said.
