Small firms join expo

JAKARTA (JP): More than 16,000 small and medium-sized
enterprises (SMEs) are expected to attend Masminex '97, an
international exhibition on machinery for small and medium-sized
industries scheduled for October.

According to organizer PT Debindomulti Adhiswasti, the five-
day exhibition, which starts Oct. 15, will take place at the
Jakarta Convention Center.

The Machineries for Small and Medium Scale Industries Expo
1997 (Masminex '97) will have 203 exhibitors coming from nine
countries. They will exhibit low-priced machinery that carry
sound after-sale guarantees and services which could be applied
for and used across Indonesia.

Machinery to be exhibited includes those for agriculture,
fisheries, plantations, food and drink processing, food
packaging, wood processing and metal processing. There will also
be machines for plastic, rubber, garment, leather and
