'Sketsa's 7th anniversary

JAKARTA (JP): To commemorate its 7th anniversary, Sketsa, an
architecture magazine, plans to hold a series of activities
including contests, exhibitions and a seminar.

Elizabeth W. of the organizing committee says that the
exhibitions will take place at the Jakarta Design Center, Central
Jakarta, from May 29 to June 1.

An exhibition with the theme Architectural Research and
Experiments will be held from May 29 to June 1 at the Orchid
Room, Jakarta Design Center. "The exhibition will be open to the
public daily, from 10:00 a.m. to 8 p.m.," Elizabeth said.

Another exhibition will also be held from May 29 to June 1 at
the Jasmine room, she added.

A seminar, also with the theme Architectural Research and
Experiments, will take place at the Lotus Room 1-3 at the center
on Saturday, June 1.

In addition, the magazine is holding an architectural design
contest on designing a floating house.

Sketsa belongs to the Jakarta-based University of
Tarumanegara's association of architecture students. (sur)
