Skechers hit local market

Indonesian retail company PT Mitra Adi Perkasa (MAP) has
introduced the popular Skechers line of women's sports shoes to
the local market.

According to the company, Skechers shoes in the United States
are worn by among others Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and
American Idol winner Carrie Underwood.

In Indonesia, Skechers shoes are available for between Rp
329,000 and Rp 399,000, and can be found at Planet Sports, The
Athlete's Foot, Foot Gear and Sports Station.

MAP operates various department stores and retail outlets in
the country, including Sogo and Debenhams, Planet Sports, the
Athlete's Foot, Sports Station, Golf House and coffee shop chain
Starbucks. It is also the distributor of international brands
such as Reebok, Marks & Spencer, Morgan, Next, Nautica and Nine
West.
