Six die after drinking alcohol, herb mixture

PALANGKA RAYA, Central Kalimantan: Six residents were killed
and seven others were listed in severe condition after consuming
alcohol mixed with traditional herbs at a yearend party in
Kotawaringin Barat regency, Central Kalimantan,Antara reported on
Saturday.

Gusti Sadikin, a local health official, said that five of the
seven people were being treated at the local public health
center, while the remaining two had been admitted to the
intensive care unit at Sultan Imanudin General Hospital in
Pangkalan Bun, the capital of Kotawaringin regency. (01)
