Six arrested for burglary

BANDUNG: Police have arrested six people, including a housewife, for a series of burglaries in Bandung, Antara reported on Sunday.

Five of the suspects, identified by their initials as Rud, Dod, Ndn, Jfi, Dud and Lin (the housewife) were all apprehended by police detectives at their homes in raids on Saturday night.

Police said that Rud and Dod had been pursued for a series of burglaries, while the other four were buyers of the stolen goods.

Five play station sets, two color TV sets, a washing machine, three computers and various other electronic goods were confiscated from the suspects.

Police believe that the criminals planned the burglaries at a house in the Margahayu Raya housing complex.

The suspects admitted to having targeted vacant houses, especially female students' boarding houses. (sur)
