Siswanto shows police five 'killing fields'
JAKARTA (JP): Siswanto, the alleged sodomizer and killer of 12 boys, has shown the police the five locations in Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, where he said he had left the bodies of five of his victims.
Central Jakarta Police Chief Lt. Col. Abubakar Nataprawira said yesterday the police had asked Siswanto to show them the scenes of the crimes on Wednesday night.
He took them to Kemayoran, where four of the eight bodies were found.
The police are looking for at least four more bodies because the suspect has admitted killing 12 boys.
Abubakar said the police will match the features of Rasyid, one of the boys which Siswanto admitted killing, with a skeleton found in March.
The police received two more reports of missing boys from their parents on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Siswanto, a scavenger, admitted sodomizing and killing the boys, Abdul Rasyid, 11, and Abdilla, 10. But their features have not matched any of the eight bodies.
Rasyid's mother, Rokiyah, said her son had disappeared last year. Witnesses saw Siswanto, her neighbor at Gaplok market, Senen, picking up her son at his elementary school.
Skeleton
"If the skeleton matches the features of Rasyid, we only have to search for Abdilla's body," he said.
Abdilla's father, Rahmat, reported to the police precinct on Thursday that his son, a shoeshine boy in Senen market, Central Jakarta, went missing on May 29.
The father fainted when Siswanto admitted killing his son, after Rahmat showed him a picture of Abdilla.
Abubakar said he has yet to receive the results of the suspect's psychiatric examination.
During a preliminary interrogation, Siswanto said he had once been sodomized by his friend when he was 11, and several times since by other older boys.
Central Jakarta police detectives apprehended Siswanto at a railway station in Tegal, Central Java, on July 27. (jun)
