SURABAYA: Fifty-four disabled children from 26 provinces competed in the singing festival at the National Olympics for the Disabled, Abilympics 1995, which was held here over the weekend.

The coordinator of the festival, Guguk Sudaryati Rahayu, said over the weekend that the program also included contests in flower arrangement, cooking, jewelry design and computer programming.

She told the Antara news agency that each participant in the singing festival could choose either a music band or karaoke music as accompaniment.
