Singaporeans on civic mission

JAKARTA: About 30 polytechnic students from Singapore recently
went on a six-day civic mission to Sungai Kecil village in Riau,
Antara reported yesterday.

They helped repair the village's elementary school, using
30,000 Singapore dollars from Singapore's National Youth Council
and the Bintan resort's management.

The youths had been on a similar mission for two weeks in the
municipality of Batam.
