Singapore Airlines' service

I would like to express my appreciation to Singapore Airlines for their exemplary service in attending to the repair of my damaged suitcase. I boarded SQ 409 from Chennai to Singapore on March 24 and then took the connecting flight SQ 152 to Jakarta March 25 morning. Upon arrival at Cengkareng Airport in Jakarta I found that my brand new (softcase) suitcase had arrived with the zip undone but the lock intact. Apparently the zip had given way. The ground staff at the unloading point had wrapped a plastic roll around it to hold the suitcase intact.

I promptly reported the damage at the Baggage Claim Department of Singapore Airlines at Terminal D and it was duly recorded. The ground staff there were very helpful and cordial. Upon inspection I found the contents of the suitcase intact and told them so. They said that the suitcase would be collected for repair that very same afternoon itself (it was a Sunday !) which they did! The suitcase was duly returned on Tuesday -- repaired and good as new!

I am really impressed with SQ's service.
