Sigit, Rudjito top candidates for Bank Mandiri CEO

State Minister of State Enterprises Sugiharto said some top bankers at state banks had a good chance of replacing Bank Mandiri president ECW Neloe in the upcoming annual shareholders meeting on May 16.

Sugiharto said Bank Negara Indonesia president Sigit Pramono and Bank Rakyat Indonesia president Rudjito had a strong chance of becoming the new Bank Mandiri president if they managed to pass screening by the final assessment team (TPA).

"Pak Sigit and Pak Rudjito are among the strongest candidates. They are being screened by the TPA," said Sugiharto at the State Palace.

The government currently has a 70 percent stake in Bank Mandiri, with the remaining 30 percent held by the investing public. -- JP
