SIA claim resolved

Albeit belatedly, Singapore Airlines Jakarta reimbursed me for the loss of my MAKO sunglasses. They insisted however, on reaching a compromise over the actual cost of the reimbursement and I, already grateful my claim was finally being addressed after some four months, yielded to their "discounted" offer.

From this experience I have learnt there are only two ways of contacting Singapore Airlines Indonesia for matters other than ticketing: Retail websites and opinion columns. As it happens contacting them through their website was a futile exercise because they did not respond to any of my multiple e-mails.

Nonetheless I am thankful that this claim was, for the most part, resolved.
