Bogor police up border security

BOGOR: Bogor Police increased security measures at its border areas in the hope of netting fugitive terrorist Noordin M. Top, who is currently still at large, Antara reported on Saturday.

The news agency reported that Bogor had stepped up security at the Cianjur-Sukabumi, Banten and Jakarta borders by conducting spot checks on vehicles and box vans in particular, suspected of transporting bomb materials.

The sweeping has been conducted since Friday by a special team of officers from the intelligence agency and police detectives. --JP
