Shortage of diesel fuel?

Warta Kota

Jakartans have faced frequent shortages of diesel fuel in the last months and this has yet to be overcome, despite being discussed by the city government and the House of Representatives.

This makes me wonder, as Indonesia ranks high among petroleum producing countries. Diesel fuel is frequently unavailable in several gas stations in certain areas in Jakarta like Otista and Cililitan, in East Jakarta, especially at night.

The shortage has led to the inability of these gas stations to supply fuel to buses at the nearby Kampung Melayu and Cililitan bus terminals.

I hope that the state-owned oil company Pertamina, which is experienced in controlling fuel distribution, will be able to overcome this shortage.
