Share prices up on Jakarta Stock Exchange
JAKARTA (JP): Share prices rallied on the Jakarta Stock Exchange (JSX) yesterday with most issues gaining ground in moderate trading.
The broad-based Composite Index closed slightly higher at 463.11 from 462.55 on Thursday.
The narrower-based GTDBS-50 Index also strengthened to close at 108.15 from 107.9.
Top winners were Mayatexdian (up Rp 500), Aqua Golden Mississippi (up Rp 400), Indorama Synthetics (up Rp 300) and Polysindo Eka Perkasa (up Rp 250).
Top losers included Unilever Indonesia (down Rp 2,500), Metrodata Electronics (down Rp 2,100), Indo Citra Finance (down Rp 1.100), Metro Supermarket Realty (down Rp 1,000), Smart Corp. (down Rp 225) and Mayora (down Rp 200).
Trading volume decreased to 22.43 million shares valued at Rp 97.13 billion (US45.19 million) yesterday from 35.18 million shares valued at Rp 151.79 billion ($70.63 million) on Thursday.
A total of 6.04 million shares changed hands yesterday at Rp 27.98 billion on the regular board, 14.98 million shares at Rp 66.01 billion on the crossing board and 1.4 million shares at Rp 3.12 billion on the foreign board.
Yesterday's trading recorded no transactions on the odd lot, block sale and cash trading boards. (icn)
