Shanghai siren makes sense
BEIJING: One enterprising American student in China has found a great way to get through the congested Shanghai traffic.
After successfully completing his Chinese driving test, an achievement in itself, he has now attached a flashing yellow light to the top of his car so he can also drive through checkpoints into off-limits ports and factories to have a peek.
Predictably, Chinese security guards just wave him through when they see the flashing light on top. To assist matters the young student's car is diplomatic black.
