Seminar on people's wealth

JAKARTA (JP): The Indonesian Society of Appraisers is to hold a seminar on Aug. 12 on the use of the state's wealth for the benefit of the people.

The society's chairman, Karsono Suryowibowo, said yesterday that several ministers, including Minister of Finance Bambang Subianto, State Minister of Investment Hamzah Haz and State Minister for the Empowerment of State Enterprises Tanri Abeng would speak about the government's policies on state wealth utilization.

He said the country's vast natural resources and marine resources have not been fully exploited by the government for the benefit of the people

"Though we do not know the amount of our country's wealth, we know that much of it has been exploited for the benefit of only certain people," he said. (aly)
