Seminar on energy outlook

JAKARTA (JP): The upcoming Indonesian International Oil, Gas &
Energy Conference and Exhibition 2000 (IIOGE 2000) will address
Indonesia's energy outlook and its effects on the global energy
markets, the conference's organizer said on Wednesday.

The conference, to be held from Sept. 19 to Sept. 22, will
feature discussions on opportunities created by the next oil and
gas law and the impact of decentralizing Indonesia's energy
sector, Rantai Expo Internasional said in a statement.

According to the statement, Minister of Mines and Energy
Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and Baihaki Hakim, the president of
state oil and gas company Pertamina, are expected to be among
those attending the conference.(bkm)
