Seminar on animal production at UGM

Yogyakarta's Gadjah Mada University (UGM)'s School of Animal Husbandry will hold an international seminar on animal production in the tropics.

Titled "Animal Production and Sustainable Agriculture in the Tropics", the seminar, from Nov. 8 to Nov. 9, at the university's campus, is intended to serve as a forum for exchanging new information and technology on animal production.

Several experts, such as Katsuhiro Fukuota (Nagoya University, Japan), Muhajar (Hiroshima University, Japan) Ian Edwards (Aberdeen University, Scotland, U.K.), A.J. Van der Zijpp (Wageningen University, the Netherlands), and E.R. Orshov (Aberdeen University, Scotland, U.K.), will present papers.

The experts will discuss how to achieve sustainable agriculture so as to support the animal industry in the tropics, and share information and ideas on animal production systems in tropical countries and the related problems
