Seminar on air pollution

JAKARTA (JP): An educational seminar on air pollution is
slated to be held at the Jakarta Hilton International Hotel on
June 11-12.

State Minister for Population and Environment Sarwono
Kusumaatmadja is scheduled to open the seminar, organized by the
Air Pollution Control Equipment Manufacturers Association of
Australia.

The Australian Environment Protection Agency, Indonesian
Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Australia's Manufacturing,
Engineering and Construction Industry Association are also among
the seminar's organizers, Ali Almasyhur, a manager at the
association says.

Ali said on Saturday that the keynote speakers at the seminar
will include Margana Koesoemadinata, the head of the Air
Pollution Control Directorate of the Environmental Impact
Management Agency.

Representatives from leading Australian air pollution control
companies will participate in the seminar, including Goyen
Controls, ABB Power Generation, DCE Vokes and Albany
International.
