Semen Cibinong sees good prospects in W. Sumatra

PADANG, West Sumatra (JP): Publicly listed cement producer, PT
Semen Cibinong, sees promising prospects for its Kujang brand in
West Sumatra.

The cement company's marketing director Rusli Setiawan said
here on Tuesday that the Kujang brand, which was introduced in
the West Sumatra market only last month, received a positive
response from local buyers.

He said about 8,000 tons of Kujang cement had been sold since
it was first introduced in the province on Feb. 16.

"Our distributor CV Keluarga Jaya sold a total of 1,500 tons
of Kujang cement in the first phase of the marketing which
started on Feb. 16. The company sold another 6,300 tons last
month. Another 2,000 tons will be shipped in mid April," Rusli
told a press briefing.

He said he was sure that his company could sell a total of
10,000 tons of cement per month in the domestic market in the
future, 20 percent of which would be marketed in West Sumatra.

PT Semen Cibinong, which operates a factory in Narogong, West
Java, markets its product under the Kujang brand. The company is
also the owner of PT Semen Nusantara, a cement company based in
Cilacap, Central Java, marketing its product under the Borobudur
temple brand.

PT Semen Cibinong Tbk is a public listed company which has
four factories in Narogong, West Java, with an installed capacity
of 5.6 million tons and two factory units in Cilacap, Central
