Sembiring wins pro-am in Jagorawi

JAKARTA (JP): Edi Sembiring won the 1999 JJGF Epson Cup Golf
Open pro-am on Wednesday on the old course of the Jagorawi Golf
Course and Country Club in Cibinong, Bogor.

In a fax made available to The Jakarta Post, it was reported
that Edi won the Rp 150 million (US$19,230) event by carding a
three-under par 69. Edi and teammates Katsuzawa, Arikawa and
Nakai also were named the best group with a best score of each
individual of 56.

The group of Sumarno, Nakamura, Nishio and Tomita produced a
total of 58 for second place, followed by Buari, Zakir, Bob
Tutupoly and Abe with 59.

The tournament is scheduled to open on Thursday. (yan)
