Seeing double

An article written by Sudar D. Atmanto entitled Kekeringan, deforestasi dan kemiskinan (Drought, deforestation and poverty) was published in Bisnis Indonesia on July 15, 1994. The following day, July 16, the same article by the same author appeared in the Kompas daily.

In this case, Bisnis Indonesia, had nothing to lose. But the thing is, we question the practice of sending identical articles to different newspapers. What about the code of ethics in writing?

There is a tendency for writers to publish same articles in different media. Surely it has something to do with the writer's morality which is governed by greediness.
