Security arrangement at Hotel Mulia

JAKARTA (JP): Hotel Mulia Senayan has introduced a number of steps to improve security for its guests during the campaign activity period starting Wednesday and the June 7 general election, an executive of the hotel said on Monday.

Amita Andansari said the hotel has used the security services of AGI, an American security consultancy company, since November last year.

"The company gives consultations on all aspects of security, particularly in securing the hotel in case street disturbances erupt here," she said.

Other steps taken by the hotel management to anticipate the possible disturbances during the campaign and election period, Amita said, include stockpiling food items and drinking water.

The stockpiling of food supplies is intended mainly to ensure that all hotel guests will not suffer from food shortages, she said.

Hotel Mulia, which is located on Jl. Asia-Afrika, Senayan, South Jakarta, is Jakarta's newest five-star hotel with 1,000 rooms and 7 food and beverage outlets.
