Second young leader award introduced

JAKARTA: The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) and the
Office of State Minister for Women's Empowerment introduced on
Monday the second UNICEF-Government of Indonesia Awards for
Indonesian Young Leaders.

Indonesians who are under 18 years old and have been actively
involved in promoting and advancing child rights for the last two
years are eligible for the award.

Three recipients will receive a certificate of acknowledgement
as well as a savings account from a sponsor, all of which will be
presented by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono on National
Children's Day on July 23.

Nominations by organizations should be sent before June 6 to
the state minister's office at Jl. Merdeka Barat No. 15, Central
Jakarta. -- JP
