SEAG golf training centered in Matoa

JAKARTA (JP): Indonesian golfers preparing for the upcoming SEA Games (SEAG) will be based at one training center, the Matoa Golf and Country Club in Ciganjur, South Jakarta, from March, according to an official.

The golfers currently have to train in two places, Matoa and Pondok Indah, also in South Jakarta but 15 kilometers away.

Budi Santoso, director of the Matoa golf course said the purpose of making Matoa the sole training center was to ensure the players became thoroughly familiar with the course selected as the golf venue for the Jakarta Games.

"Matoa is an international standard golf course and we have frequently held international tournaments there, Budi said. (lnt)
